Amateur gardeners, experimental gardeners, no back-yard gardeners, and all of the above welcome! I plan to share my experience (both successes and epic failures) with all things that grow, in the hopes to make your gardening efforts a little easier. I will cover pretty much everything from seedlings to the end of plants (either through age or over watering), but I’ve broken my posts down to 4 sections: New Gardener, The Experimental Garden, Equipment Review, & Seasonal Projects. My advice, start with what interests you and go from there.

My name is Jennifer Northway and I’ll be writing most of the posts. I definitely fall under the experimental amateur gardener category. I give something a try and hope the plant grows beautifully. I have unending enthusiasm and I am slowly acquiring experience, that is why many of my posts will be approved by and maybe even supplemented by my mom, Julie Northway. She is a master gardener through the UCCE Master Gardener program (UCCE shout out) and kinda knows her way around a garden (though she doesn’t like to admit it). Together we will jump into this blog-o-sphere and maybe get a little dirt under our fingernails in the process. I hope you enjoy the blog and get those nails a little dirty with us!
